Fall Trend: Fur Vest

I was never a fan of furs (or faux furs) but lately I have been on the search to find a fabulous fur vest. I think they are great to add to a basic outfit to add some glamour. My inspiration is definitely Rachel Zoe. She can rock a fur vest like no other.

I would prefer a fur vest over a full fur coat because it seems less gaudy, in my opinion. I think a fur vest can be a staple pieces that can be worn years (or even decades) down the line. Its less of a trend and more of a staple piece.

I've compiled a few fur vests that I have found that I think look great. I'm sure at least one of them will fit your style or wallet.

What do you think about fur vests? Love it or is it not your style?

Fall Shoes From My Closet

Earlier last week I did a post about Must Have Shoes for Fall, so now I decided to show some of the shoes I plan to wear during this fall season.

I love that it is getting cooler outside and I can bring out my fall pieces.

I pretty much have everything I need (for shoes) this fall except for boots. I've been looking for a great pair of boots. So if you guys know any places that have any good reliable ones let me know, por favor.

My wardrobe mainly contains basics so most of my shoes are darker tones and pretty simple designs. I like my shoes to be able to go with almost any outfit or occasion.

Sorry I dont remember where I got most of these from but I'm sure (if you are interested) you could find something similar to them. If I remember or if they are recent, I will list where I got it from.

I love wedges and these are obviously comfortable. I like to wear these when I want a little bit of height or with flared jeans (for a 70s inspired look). I dont remember where I got these from but they are probably the oldest out of all of these shoes in this post.

I got these from Target about 4 years ago. They are so comfortable I could wear them to sleep. They dont give your feet support if you plan on doing a lot of walking and they dont provide that much warmth. Its fine for me because I dont really live in a cold climate, they are the closest thing to boots I have lol. They are just really comfortable to wear.

I purchased these wedges earlier this year from Target. I know most people don't wear wedge sandals during the winter but I think wedges with socks or stockings is a great look. I chose to wear black stockings but I think it would even look cute with colored stockings or leggings.

Photobucket

These are not really "fall shoes" but I plan on wearing these Aldo Boat Shoes during the fall. I got these for my birthday in July and I've been wearing them nonstop. They're just a great shoe to wear when you are just running errands or chilling.

Photobucket

I got these bootie heels at Marshall's a couple years ago. They platform makes them super comfortable to walk in.

Photobucket

These are my most recent shoes, I picked them up at Target in September of this year. I havent really had a basic black platform pump so I was glad to get these. They are great for almost any occasion. They can be easily transformed to casual wear and to a glam look.

Now I love the design of these shoes. I bought them about this time last year (2010) from Urbanog.com. I hate that the heel part is falling apart and I've only worn them maybe 5 times (AT THE MOST). The material is suede and there are some spots or something on the shoes, which isnt very pleasant. They blemishes are noticeable unless you are up close but it bothers me. I might turn these shoes into "galaxy designed shoes". *sigh* but i love the design and they do keep your feet very warm.

What is your favorite style of shoe to wear during the fall/winter months?

She's Got Jungle Fever

Lately I have been obsessed with animal print, especially leopard. I think the warmer tones in leopard are great for the fall. I used to be intimidated by animal prints but the older I get I see that it can be worn without looking like you are wearing an animal.

Below are a few ways you can use to easily incorporate leopard into your wardrobe. All of these pieces are to be worn separate, I mean unless you want to be one of the girls from Jerseylicious for Halloween lol. My views on leopard may be a little different from others, I prefer to wear solid neutral colors and have the leopard be the statement piece.

What do you think about leopard? Do you wear animal print?

Kanye West @ Paris Fashion Week RTW Spring 2012

I've been anticipating this collection for so long. Kanye has been my favorite musician for a while and I love his sense of style. A couple months ago it was revealed that he would debut a line at Paris Fashion Week. He has already released a Sneaker line for Louis Vuitton and Nike. He also once had a fashion line, Pastelle, that was never completed. Over the past few years he has mentioned he did internships at many European fashion houses including Fendi.

In my honest opinion, and also since I am a Kanye fan, I like the collection. I dont love it but it is not bad for being his first collection. This collection looks more like a fall line more than a spring collection, but hey that's just my opinion. If he continues in fashion, I cant wait to see how much grows.

What do you think about this collection?

Fall Nail Polishes

Nail Polish is a great way to add a little something to a wardrobe, spice up your nails so they don't look so boring, and is a great way to play with different colors and prints. I usually like to change up my nail polishes to match the season. I like to wear brighter nail colors in the spring and usually deeper colors in the fall, although I do like to switch things up every now and then.

I am a nail polish hoarder, so instead of buying new nail polishes this fall I want to use what I already have. But I'm sure you can find dupes to most of these or even find most of them at Ulta still. Sorry my hands look so ashy UGH lol.

Left to right

OPI You Dont Know Jacques (this color is so unique, it is so hard to describe it.)
China Glaze Shower Together ( I love this)
Essie Mink Muffs (Similar to you dont know jacques but more brown undertones)
OPI Jade is the New Black (perfect if you want green nails for Christmas)
OPI Ginger Bells (burnt orange, love this for the fall)

OPI Suzi Skis The Pyrenees (this is another one that is hard to describe, its a dark gray/black)
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mudslide (one of my favorites right now)
OPI Sapphire in the snow (deep deep purple-ish blue)
OPI Baguette Me Not ( LOVE this for all seasons coral)
OPI Lincoln Park after Dark (The infamous Lincoln Park after Dark, I'm sure we all have seen this lol)

The nail polishes below are great for parties or even New Years Eve. I love these sparkly nail polishes.

Orly in Dazzle (basically glittery silver lol)
OPI Glitzerland (basically glittery gold)
Sally Hansen HD Hi-Definition Nail Color in DVD ( I will say this one is my least favorite but i love the effect it gives. this one I had to use three coats and you can still see my nail underneath).
Ulta Nail Lacquer in Love My Blackberry (deep blue black with hints of shimmer, love this)

What are your favorite nail polishes for the fall, new or old?

Fall Must Have:Fall Shoes

I've compiled a list of some most have shoes for the Fall season. Most fall shoes are meant to keep your feet warm during the colder months. But we all want to look good while staying warm. (FYI click the name of the shoe if you want to go to the shoe's website)

Boots are essential if you are going to do a lot of walking during the colder months, especially in snow. I am envious of you guys who are REQUIRED to wear these because here in Florida we really only wear these for fashion purposes.

Heels/Pumps can be worn many different ways and are multi-seasonal.

Booties are a great way to jazz up a fall outfit, whether it be jeans or a LBD. I love that booties come right to the ankle so they give your foot warmth but aren't all the way up your leg like a boot.

Oxfords/Flats/Loafers are comfortable to wear. They can be worn to work, school, shopping, or whatever your heart desires. The leopard loafers are so freaking cute, especially paired with jeans, a white tee, and a black blazer. I would love to have the leopard pair in my closet.

Wedges. Now some of you may be thinking what? wedge sandals? But if you live in a warm climate you can still wear them or you can wear them with socks or stockings. I will be doing a post about how you can wear sandals with socks or stockings soon, so be on the look out for that.
