February Haul

Here are most of the things I got during February...well so far. Most of these things I got from couponing or they were on clearance. The reason i do these hauls is to share what I got for someone who may be looking to try new things or looking for something specific.

Hair L to R:

Photobucket

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deeeeep conditioner - Cant wait to try this. It was around $3 at Walgreens

Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol - I have used this product since I was younger. I like to get these cheaper conditioners to mix with my higher quality conditioners.  I think I got this from either Walgreens, CVS, or Sally's Beauty. I cannot remember lol sorry.

Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque - I used this Monday and it was okay. I didn't notice a major difference in my hair but it seemed to be pretty good. I purchased this from Walgreens

Skin Care:

Photobucket

Jergens Night Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer - This is on sale at Target right now for $3.00ish. I used a coupon and got this for $2.ish. It seems to have a really good smell to it.

CVS Cleansing & Makeup Remover Towelettes - These were less than $2 at CVS. Great for just quickly removing make up

Yes To Carrots Super Rich Body Butter - I got this for absolutely free from Target. This is on sale in the travel section for $2 and there was a $2 coupon on "yes to carrots" Facebook page which makes this free. To add, this body butter is so rich and creamy. When I am done with this trial size I almost want to purchase a larger container. and it does not smell like carrots lol

Eye shadow and Blush:

Photobucket

I've always wanted to try this Wet N Wild Eye Shadow Collection in "I heart Matte" - This was around $3-5 at Walgreens and it was well worth it. I plan on doing a separate review on this product.

Revlon Matte Eye Shadow in Vintage Lace (001) - Only a few bucks at CVS

This was also another great discounted item. Almay Smart Shade Blush in Pink Rose. There was a $3 coupon on Target's website and this product was on sale for $4.40 which made this $1.40. Great buy. The bad thing is when I swatched it, it barely showed up on my skin :-(

Nails:

Photobucket

Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color in Club Havana (211B) - Walgreens for $1 or $2

Beauty Secrets Top Coat from Sally's Beauty Supply. Now....I tried this on my nails for about 3 or 4 days and my nails chipped. I do not know whats wrong with my nails, every top coat I try seems to make my nails chip faster than when I do not have on a top coat.

Lips:

Photobucket

Chapstick was free at Walgreens. It is on sale for .99cents and there is a $1 coupon in Walgreens february coupon book.

This Nivea Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Care is on sale 2 for $5 at CVS this week and next week. If you have coupons you can get it for even cheaper. This smells really good too.

Both of these L'Oreal Lipsticks were on sale for $2.80 and I had two $1 off coupons which made each $1.80. The shades I picked up are Eva Longoria's Caramel (836) and Linda Evangelista's Beige (809).

I've been going Lip Butter crazy lol. I want to get all of the shades but thats not practical. Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie (050) and Tutti Fruitti (015). I got these from CVS and Target for around $5-7.

Face Products:

Photobucket

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Radiant Firming Makeup in Tan. Target for $6.40ish I used a coupon and it made it $4.40ish. This color is a little light for me but will be perfect underneath my eyes to brighten.

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Anti-Dull Primer was $5.ish at Target and I used a $2 coupon from L'Oreal's website which made it $3.ish.

These two Covergirl Concealers in #6 is a great buy at Target. They were on sale for $3.ish and I used a $1 off coupon on each. I have two more of these in my make up collection already but these are pretty good concealers to have. They dont give full coverage but they're good for the price.

Foundations/Powders:

Photobucket

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Pressed Powder in Honey - $3.74 and used a $1 coupon. A little light for my complexion but great for under the eyes for me.

CoverGirl TruBlend Pressed Powder in #6. This one was on sale too but I cant remember the price and I also used a coupon which made it a better deal.

L'Oreal True Match Roller Foundation in C5-6. This one is a light for my skin but great under the eyes or to highlight certain areas.

Wow that is a lot of products. I will try not to do anymore shopping for the rest of February lol. If you have a Target in your area you should definitely check to see what products they have on sale. I have noticed many stores have had a lot of cosmetics on sale since the end of December. The value of these products are well over $120 and I would say I spent about 1/3 of that or even less. Now is a great time to buy discounted cosmetics. I also noticed that many of the darker shades are discounted as well, great for us darker girls.

What are some new things you purchased? Also, If you want me to do swatches or reviews of any of these products let me know.

CVS Haul: 75% off Make Up Products

You should head to your local CVS right now. They have tons of makeup on sale. I wanted to make a quick post about these products because the deal was so great. The products I picked up were Milani because they had the biggest deal but there were many other brands that had products on sale.

All of these products costs $12. The blushes, bronzer, nail polishes were around $1.70. The most expensive thing was the covergirl concealer, which was $4.

I will do a real Haul on these products this week but I wanted to let you guys know about this so you can rush to your CVS and see what they have.

What are some great deals on make up you have seen lately? And if you do happen to go to CVS, let me know what you get.

*By the way, sorry the picture quality is so horrible, I wanted to let you guys know of this deal quickly.*

New Make-Up Products I'm Lovin': Lips, Eye Shadows, and Nails

I havent purchased make up in a while. Mainly because I havent worn it that often and I havent seen anything that really caught my eye...until recently. Over the Holidays, I noticed Walgreens and a lot of different drugstores had make up at a discounted price. This was a perfect time for me to try different things without feeling like I wasted my money on something I wouldnt like. Most of these products were under $4 or $5. As I am looking at these products I realized most of them are Revlon lol...and that was not intentional.

The one thing that was somewhat of a "splurge" because I paid full price was the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter. I picked up the shade Pink Truffle (001) because it was the safest lol. I've had it for a couple weeks and I'm really loving it. It is like a chap stick-lipstick hybrid and it seems to be worth all the hype. This color is a pinky-nude-brown.

These two Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks were on sale at Walgreens for around $3 or less. (You might want to check your Walgreens to see if they have anymore). I picked up Icy Nude (002) and Fuchsia (030). I do notice the "Icy Nude" shade may be a little light for darker skin tones but with the right lip liner and/or lip gloss on top, it will work.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I usually wear nude shades so the fuchsia is very bold for me that I think i'll try and wear it.

Another Lipstick I got on sale was Rimmel Moisture Renew in Mocha Cream (690). Now this shade does come off a little chocolaty and is a little too dark (for my liking). I think if I mix it with other Lipsticks or glosses I have it could have some potential lol.

Photobucket

Here are swatches of all the Lip Products in the order that I wrote them above.

Another gloss I got was Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss in Cocoa Fever (50). This is a great nude gloss for my lip color although on lighter tones it may show up as more of a cocoa color. This gloss does have shimmer in it but you dont notice it except when using an up close mirror.

I haven't been into eye shadows lately, usually I just seem my powder over my eyes and call it a day. When I saw these two products on sale I decided to try them.

L'Oreal HIP Duo in Saucy (818). I love this duo but I think I love the lighter shade more than I like the darker one. The lighter comes off as a golden orange-y color and that is usually my go to eyeshadow color. I love the way golden tones look on my eyes. I've used L'Oreal HIP duos before and I love them. They are super affordable but have the texture  and color pay off of an expensive eyeshadow.

Here is a swatch of the duo

Photobucket

This Revlon Luxurious Color Perle Eye Shadow in Black Galaxy (045) is pretty amazing. I dont usually wear darker eyeshadows or anything in my crease but when I was playing around and put this in my crease...OMG it looked so great. Perfect for a smoky eye. I do realize you do have to apply a good amount. I love that this has glitter in it as well. Great black eyeshadow.

A mascara that I purchased (using coupons thanks to www.thekrazycouponlady.com) was only $1.47 (I think somewhere between $1.30-1.75). It is Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara. I wasnt sure about this mascara but it is actually pretty good.

Photobucket

The shape of the wand really allows you to easily coat your lashes and get really close in the inner corner. So far, a great mascara

Photobucket

I'm also loving this Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Enamel in Candy. Which is basically like a baby candy pink. In the swatch below, it comes off as a deep pink but I think that is because I had the flash on. It applies really smoothly and it didnt seem to take long drying. Also a really cheap product and the color pay off is pretty good as well.

Ulta Haul

Photobucket

I went to Ulta on Thursday and picked up a few things. I'm kinda mad because when I got back home there was an Ulta coupon in the mail and I didn't get a chance to use it. Oh well, I plan on going back during the holidays to get a few more things.

Photobucket

I saw this glitter and immediately thought of wearing it during the holidays or for New Years Eve. But when I got home and looked on the back, I saw it wasn't safe for the eye area. :-( I guess I'll find some way to use this.

NYX Glitter Mania in Disco Ball

Photobucket

I never really venture off into the body section of Ulta but I saw this for less than $5 and I had to pick it up. I put tried it on and it was pretty decent, the ginger is a little strong but it isnt too bad for the price.

Gorgeous Hands Hand Cream in Ginger Plumberry

Photobucket

I've always wanted to try the L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray, although I rarely use hairspray lol. I'm sure I'll have it for a long time and I hope its worth the money.

Photobucket

I've been trying to expand my perfume collection and before I go out and spend money on a big bottle, I always look in the travel size section of Ulta. I saw there were almost hundreds of this smell so I decided to try it out. I liked the smell in the store and it still smells pretty good.

Collective Haul: Ulta, GNC, Target, CVS, Wal-Mart

I usually do smaller hauls but I've collected most of these items over the past couple months. I probably wont do that many hauls in the next few months because I'm saving for a cruise. I'm trying not to spend all my money on frivolous things lol.

Any who....I will sort this haul by the store

I've heard a lot of good things about coconut oil so I went to GNC to pick up some. I got Now Healthy Foods Certified Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for around $8. I will be doing a post all about coconut oil this week so look out for it.

<span class=

I also went to Ulta. They had (or maybe still have) a special on Organix hair products so I got Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum and Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment.

<span class=

<span class=

I also got these Wet n' Wild Nail Polishes from Ulta. I picked up Sparkled and How I met your Magenta

<span class=

Next is Target. I needed a new heat protector for my hair so I decided to try Aussie heat protecting shine spray. I'm almost done with this product so I will be doing a review on it soon.

<span class=

I love this body wash. Its Caress Cashmere Luxury Silkening Body Wash. The packaging says it smells like white orchid milk & warm vanilla Essence but it actually smells like baby powder (to me, which is fine). This is maybe my third time buying this product and I like it.

<span class=

I also saw these down the vitamin aisle so I wanted to try them. They are vitafusion MultiVites 200% Vitamin D Gummy Vitamins for Adults. I've been taking them for a few weeks now, I havent noticed anything different about myself but they do taste yummy. lol

<span class=

Last Tuesday ( 9/12) I HAD to go by Target to see what they had for the Missoni for Target line. I was disappointed so I decided to just pick up this scarf. I was hoping they would have a bunch of really cute things but it was BLAH. I'm kind of mad because now the tag on the scarf is falling off and I haven't even used it or anything. Sorry the scarf is so wrinkled but you can see its pretty huge.

<span class=

<span class=

I also got these Paisley Platform Pumps from target. They are pretty comfortable too. What I hate about them is that they are suede and will probably need a lot of care. They are on sale so if you are interested go check them out in the store.

<span class=

I got these Cayenne Fruit Capsules and Nutella from Walmart. I always wanted to try Nutella after seeing a lot of people on tumblr talk about it. It is actually really good. It tastes like a chocolate peanut butter (kind of lol).

<span class=

<span class=

When I was in Walgreens I saw they had this Clean & Clear pore perfecting moisturizer on sale so I wanted to try it.

<span class=

Lastly, and most recently I went to CVS because I needed a new shampoo. I got this Pantene Relaxed & Natural for Women of Color Dry to Moisturized Shampoo. I've used it before and it worked pretty well.
